設定延伸螢幕原本僅需使用 xrandr，但在 EeePC 上需要修改 xorg.conf 設定檔才可正常運作。此程序有可能導致 X Window 無法正常開啟，請備份您的資料。
首先修改 /etc/X11/xorg.conf：
sudo kate /etc/X11.xorg.conf
最下面有個 Section “Screen”，請把 SubSection “Display” Depth 24 裡面的 Virtual 1680 1680 改成 Virtual 2080 2080。接下來用 Ctrl + Alt + 倒退鍵 重新起動 X。重新起動後，打開終端機，輸入：
xrandr --output LVDS --mode 800x480 --output VGA --mode 1280x1024 --right-of LVDS
這樣就可以使用延伸螢幕。
