Official Asus FTP Site. All Official Drivers Here ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/asus/EeePC/EeePC4G –All official drivers are listed here. Simple enough.
Official Asus BIOS' http://update.eeepc.asus.com/bios/ –These are the official ones from their site. If you need to update to official supported ones that will not void your warranty - These are them.
ASTray Plus Utility http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=18260 –This utility allows for 640×480, 800×480, 800×600, 900×540, 1000×600, 1024×768 resolutions. Very handy tool and another alternative to obtain the downscaled resolutions.
EeePC Tool – 800×600, 1024×768 - ALLOWS No Scrolling resolutions on official Intel Driver http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=17146 –Made by a friend of mine, it allows you to adjust resolutions like the Asus Tray Utility, but also has options for num/scroll/caps lock taskbar buttons. –No Scrolling resolutions on official Intel Driver. The best tool available.
Lazertags Modified Intel Drivers http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php? … 23#p108023 –Allows downscaling using KJJ's Utility. Good drivers.
800×600 AND 1024×768 Resolution Hacked Driver with no scrolling http://forums.themodshop.net/index.php?topic=116.0 –Quick Installation instructions: Simply go to device manager and manually replace the drivers for BOTH display adapters with the .ini file found in the drivers folder. –Beware there are a few problems related to sleep mode.
MoveMe http://www.damnsoft.org/cgi-bin/ghostgu … ion=moveme –This program allows you to hold down the ALT key and drag windows around. Very useful if you run the 800×480 resolution.
EeeCTL http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=8808 –This allows you can keep watch of your temperatures, control fan speeds and overclock. By default it has 600, 750 and 900MHz settings. Very useful.
PortableApps http://portableapps.com/suite –A very small 89mb suit that has many programs such as OpenOffice (word, excel, powerpoint etc) and many others. A MUST have for all Eee users. It is compact and does not install anything (Does not clog up/slow down windows!!). It simply extracts the files into a folder and you just gotta make a shortcut to the desktop. More instructions on their website.
Hitachi Microfilter Driver http://www.xpefiles.com/viewtopic.php?t=92 –This program allows you to mount your SDHC (allowing you to install programs onto it and have it show as a “local disk”. Very useful. –Quick Install Guide: Go to device manager, find the USB2 Card Reader Device under Disk Drives and update the driver with the driver in the zip folder. Now reboot. Your SDHC should be mounted now. –If you have installation problems refer to post #15 in this thread!!
Official Latest Intel VGA Driver http://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_ … ;prdmap=40 –Just download and install. This is the latest official driver from Intel for the graphics card.

EeeRotate http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=12152 –This thread will show you how to rotate your Eee and have a program rotate your mouse so it works in function to your rotated Eee display.
CCleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ –Cleans up a ton of junk from folders and the registry. A MUST HAVE program for ANY user on ANY laptop.
Firefox and Firefox Beta 4 http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/ –Firefox for the most of us. If you want to have your webpages zoom in and out to suit the Eee's 800×480 resolution, Beta 3 offers this.
AVG Free Anti Virus http://www.filehippo.com/download_avg_antivirus/ –One of the best virus scan software programs available. Free and uses very little resources. A must have for those who want an Anti Virus on their Eee.
nLite - 537MB XP SP2 Install Guide http://www.i64x.com/eeexp.php –This guide is helpful in building a small, fast booting XP SP2 install. Use this if you need some guidance building an Eee'ified XP.

Boosting Battery Life and Reducing Heat by Enabling C3 Processor Sleep State http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=6636&p=1 –Enables The C3 sleep state for the processor (via patch and disabling of webcam (you have to reenable the webcam if you want to use it)). This will reduce temperatures and boost battery life.
