The Untitled Eee Project (TUEP) is a community effort to provide a software package, including an operating system, appropriate to the limited hardware of the Eee PC.

Create an alternative to the Xandros operating system that ships with the Eee PC

• It will use a custom Linux kernel
• It will be a derivative of an existing distribution
• It will be a bootable image for a USB stick or SD card
• It will be at most 1GB in size
• It will make the most of the limited hardware (900MHz Celeron M, 256MB RAM, 2GB SSD)

Maintain a repository of packages that have been optimized for the Eee PC

• Optimize packages for use on the Eee PC
• Benefit the entire community of Eee PC users
