This page contains some information about how to setup a UMTS/HSDPA modem on a EEE PC. This serves as a quick how-to and is provided as is. If something is not listed here it doesn't mean it is not supported or not possible, it's just not written here (yet).

The vodafone USB stick, which is actually the Huawei e172 is supported out-of-the-box. Just plug in the stick with the simcard in working order (note: remove PIN code from the sim on another machine if set). Now the “Add connection” wizard can be used. Select 3G from the list and your modem should be there.

This is a fairly new modem which is not supported out-of-the-box on the Xandros OS. A procedure on how to install it will be posted here shortly.
