1-xandros installation from Asus dvd http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:configurefromscratch

2-Follow instructions on changing the language http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:changelanguage

3-Uninstall Taiwan language packs (optional) http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:freespace

4-Run xepc installation disk http://wiki.eeeuser.com/restoretofactory

5-Reboot to Advanced mode press the powerknob, and select the advanced view knob

6-Remove or change TW repositories to english ones (optional) http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:changeenrepos

7-Again removing unnecessary language files (optional) (see 3) http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:freespace

8-adding repositories (sources for synaptic and apt-get) http://wiki.eeeuser.com/addingxandrosrepos

9-updating and upgrading your device use synaptic or run:

sudo bash
dpkg --configure -a
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

Then reboot, and if necessary repeat this step once more.

10-disabling SD card autopopup http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:tempdisabledevicedetection or http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:automountusbstorage

11-enable execute from SD card http://wiki.eeeuser.com/execute_apps_off_sd

12-Add an easy desktop quick shortcut to your desktop (without rebooting the os; in Advanced mode)
