How to set FireFox cache to RAM

Basically for those wanting to increase their browsing speeds, and don't want to be stuck every 5 seconds when booting your Linux OS from a slower USB drive, or an SD card,
here's a method that supposed to take care for that!
It's not 100% tested yet, I hope some people who know more about this than me, may correct possible errors in this wiki page.

It begins with adding a RAM DISK to your system. Follow the procedures in this link.

Then return here.

Open a new instance of FireFox, and type in the address bar the folowing:

about:config

Agree to the comment

Rightclick on anything in the window , select 'NEW' » 'STRING'

Enter stringvalue:

browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

As directory, select the ramdisk. If you followed the procedure correctly it should be located in your

file:///home/user/ramdisk

where 'user' equals the user name of your pc. Press OK, and close all FF windows.

Reboot!

Done!
