Installing Basket

Basket is a program like One Note or EverNote.

Installation

  1. Basket is available from the community repository. You can get it by editing the list of sources /etc/apt/sources.list by running the Kwrite text editor (or your preferred text editor) in the terminal (Alt+Ctrl+t):
    sudo kwrite /etc/apt/sources.list
  2. Copy (Ctrl+c) and paste (Shift + Insert) the community repository below into into a blank space in the sources.list file:
    deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/eeepcrepos/ p701 main etch

You can leave the two Asus Repositories but comment out (by putting a # before them) all other Repositories in your sources.list file. You only need the community repository for this to work and some of the other repositories will stop it working.

  3. Save the sources.list file and exit Kwrite.
  4. Staying in terminal, type:
    sudo apt-get update
  5. Then type:
    sudo apt-get install basket

This should install Basket on your system
