Installing FrostWire for P2P Downloading

  1. Visit the FrostWire download page at: http://www.frostwire.com/?id=downloads
  2. Download the Ubuntu/Debian package and save this to 'My Documents'.
  3. Open a terminal window: (Ctrl+Alt+t)
  4. Change to the My Documents directory:
    cd My\ Documents/
  5. Type the following to install:
    sudo dpkg -i frost*
  6. You can now launch the application by typing frostwire at the terminal window.

Upgrading Java

Some people have reported that their installations of FrostWire do not work without upgrading Java. To do this follow Upgrading Java (xandros-sun-jre1.5).
