===== Introduction =====

The Untitled Eee Project (TUEP) is a community effort to provide a software package, including an operating system, appropriate to the limited hardware of the Eee PC.


===== Goals =====

Create an alternative to the Xandros operating system that ships with the Eee PC

  * It will use a [[customkernel|custom Linux kernel]]
  * It will be a [[derivative|derivative of an existing distribution]]
  * It will be a [[bootableimage|bootable image for a USB stick or SD card]]
  * It will be at most 1GB in size
  * It will make the most of the limited hardware (900MHz Celeron M, 256MB RAM, 2GB SSD)

Maintain a repository of packages that have been optimized for the Eee PC

  * Optimize packages for use on the Eee PC
  * Benefit the entire community of Eee PC users
  * What format to use?
